  • How does mulch benefit my garden?

    Mulch is beneficial for many reasons. For one, it helps control moisture and prevent water evaporation in soil. Secondly, it prevents the growth of weeds and other invasive species around your plants. And thirdly, it helps to moderate temperature, keeping your plants cool in summer and warm in winter.


  • What plants are best suited to the climate of New South Wales?

    Australian Beech, Hairy Wattle, River Red Gums—there are many different plants suited to the climate of New South Wales. We have a huge range of seeds available in store, as well lush, healthy plants in our nursery. Many of our plants are grown locally, to ensure they’re suited for properties in the region.


  • Should I use sawdust in my garden?

    As long as the timber is untreated, sawdust can be used for a variety of gardening applications. Mixed with materials that are high in nitrogen, like manure and grass, the carbon in wood chips will break down over time. However, finer sawdust can pack tightly when mixed with mulch. This can stop water penetrating soil to the roots. You are better off using sawdust for garden surrounds and pathways!
